We make it our goal not only to help relieve your pain but to teach you more about your body and how to prevent future pain and injuries. Using the natural approach of chiropractic care, we treat patients for more than just back and neck pain. We strive to determine the source of your pain so that we can mitigate or eliminate it. Accidents and injuries can happen at any time. recently, we have been providing many of our patients with golf injury treatment.

Back Pain

Back pain is one of the most common complaints among golfers. Playing golf, you have the option to walk the course or drive a golf cart. Some players prefer to walk the greens for added exercise, but the bag full of clubs can be heavy. If the weight of the bag isn’t distributed properly, you’ll likely feel some pain in the back, neck, and shoulders at the end of just nine holes.

If you are learning to play golf, professional lessons are recommended. Learning to swing the club correctly is vital. Having the proper arc is important for hitting the ball where you want it to go. Equally as important is the effect of the swing on your body. It’s important that you aren’t overreaching or twisting as you swing the club, as this can lead to spinal misalignment.

Golfer’s Elbow

Golfer’s elbow refers to inflammation of the tendons inside the lower forearm, just inside the elbow. This condition is similar to tennis elbow but affects a different part of the arm. It occurs due to excessive elbow strain when playing golf. Some golfers will say you cannot play too much golf. If you’ve developed a golfer’s elbow, you’ll quickly disagree. It can be quite painful and can keep you off the course for some time.

Knee and Hip Pain

Walking isn’t the greatest hazard to the joints on the golf course. Swinging the club is. If you’re overreaching, not properly squaring your hips, or not grounding your feet when you swing, you may injure your knees, hips, feet, and spine.

Chiropractic Treatment for Golf Injuries

Our chiropractor can treat golf injuries through chiropractic adjustments, massage therapy, and laser therapy. We can also advise you on the proper stance and swing. When your first visit our office, our chiropractor will evaluate your musculoskeletal system to determine the type of injury you have sustained before creating a chiropractic care plan to address it. Chiropractic adjustments will relieve your pain, restore your mobility, and improve your body’s natural ability to heal itself.
